Niamh Sullivan

Registered Counsellor

Hi I’m Niamh (she/her)

I am a counsellor and relationship therapist with a Master of Counselling and a Bachelor ofBehavioural Science (Psychology). I have experience working with people of all ages and backgrounds. I practice from an integrative framework but primarily draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotion-Focused Therapy(EFT) as well as grief and loss and attachment theories. I prioritise a person-centred and trauma-informed approach. My aim is to create a warm environment where clients feel safe authentically expressing their needs and desires.

Starting therapy can be intimidating and often a bit nerve-wracking. My approach focuses on meeting you where you are at, emphasising the importance of creating a safe and trusting working relationship. This foundation is built on collaboration and respect for your lived experiences.

My passion as a counsellor is to help you identify and explore what you need to live a more meaningful life and foster loving, fulfilling relationships. I provide short and/or longer-term therapy for:

  • Psychological distress (e.g., anxiety, depression, etc.)
  • Relationship challenges & attachment distress
  • Parenting challenges
  • Experiences of grief, loss and bereavement
  • Existential distress & meaning-making
  • Eating and body image issues
  • Sexual function and flourishing

I take pleasure in working with individuals navigating a diverse range of relational experiences and identities, such as those within the LGBT+ community, polyamory, and kink communities.
