Director & Clinical Psychologist & Sexologist
Hi, I believe therapy should be tailored to your unique experiences because I recognise that each person's challenges and needs are different. My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness, and Attachment theories. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
I understand that starting therapy—especially for the first time—can feel daunting. I aim to create a safe, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where we can explore what’s bringing you here. Together, we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you while also identifying patterns that may no longer be serving you. My goal is to support you in gaining a deeper understanding of yourself, making meaningful changes, and ultimately, enhancing your well-being.
I currently work with adults and offer both short- and long-term therapy for:
Please note: I do not typically provide couples therapy.
My doctoral research focused on developing and evaluating psychological treatment for vaginismus, which led to a deep interest in helping individuals improve sexual function and satisfaction—whether single or in a relationship. I work with those experiencing pain with sex due to vaginismus (GPPPD), endometriosis, or chronic pelvic pain, and take an integrative, whole-person approach to care but regardless of what brings you to therapy, my focus is always on providing a warm, non-judgemental space where we can explore what matters to you, strengthen your resilience, and help you move towards the life you want.
Please note Hilary's diary is currently full, however she is accepting new clients onto her waiting list and see clients on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
