Amie Wilde

Registered Psychologist

Hi I’m Amie. I have worked as a counsellor since 2007 and as a psychologist since 2014. Over those years I have been helping clients to overcome challenges and lead richer and more meaningful lives.

My evidence-based treatment draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT),  Positive Psychology and mindfulness. My style of positive and strength-based psychology aims to not only alleviate pain and restore functioning, but to help you thrive.

I work with adults and offer short or longer-term therapy for:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Stress & Adjustment
  • Relationship issues
  • Sexual difficulties
  • Gender and sexuality related concerns
  • Eating, weight and body image issues
  • Personal development
  • Trauma

My clinical interests include helping individuals and couples to experience healthy relationships and sexual wellbeing, assisting with body image concerns and fostering body positivity, and more broadly, personal development.

My approach is warm, compassionate and authentic. I aim to understand your individual story, work collaboratively to identify therapeutic goals and provide a supportive and nonjudgmental space for you to achieve these goals

Qualifications and Registration:

  • Full registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Bachelor of Arts (Psychology), University of New England
  • Postgraduate Diploma Psychology, Queensland University of Technology
