Provisional Psychologist
Mackenzie is a Provisional Psychologist and is completing her Master of Clinical Psychology at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and undertaking her final clinical placement at CRSW. She provides therapy under the clinical supervision of Dr Hilary Lindberg, Clinical Psychologist, Sexologist and Co-Director of CRSW. Dr Lindberg does not attend therapy sessions; rather, she provides regular supervision and oversight of assessment, case formulation, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions to support high-quality, affordable and evidence-based care.
Mackenzie understands that reaching out for support can feel daunting, particularly when discussing personal experiences, relationships, intimacy, or sexual wellbeing. She is committed to creating a safe, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported to explore what has brought them to therapy.
She recognises that mental health, relationships, sexuality, identities, values, and life experiences are deeply interconnected. While past experiences can shape how we see ourselves and relate to others, they do not have to determine our future. Mackenzie believes therapy provides an opportunity to better understand ourselves, navigate life's challenges, and move towards a life that feels meaningful and aligned with what matters most to each individual.
Her approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded in curiosity. Mackenzie enjoys supporting clients to develop greater self-awareness and insight while building practical skills and strategies that promote meaningful change. She works with adults across a broad range of concerns, with particular interests in sexual wellbeing, intimacy, neurodivergence, relationships, and attachment.
Mackenzie draws on evidence-based therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and attachment-informed approaches, tailoring therapy to each person's unique experiences, strengths, identities, and goals.
Her practice is sex-positive, neurodiversity-affirming, and inclusive of diverse identities, relationships, and lived experiences. She welcomes LGBTQIA+ clients, people in consensually non-monogamous relationships, those engaged in or exploring kink/BDSM, and sex workers.
Mackenzie supports adults with a wide range of concerns, including:
Appointments with Mackenzie are $100 per session.
While Medicare rebates are not available for services provided by a Provisional Psychologist, Mackenzie's fee has been intentionally set below the typical out-of-pocket cost many clients pay after claiming a Medicare rebate (approximately $126–140 per session). This provides an affordable pathway to evidence-based psychological care within CRSW's specialist sexual wellbeing service, supported by regular clinical supervision.
